Steve King

Clinchfield Country, 1988

Growing up in Ohio, early model and railfan interests brought him to the start of a railroading career on the B&O and the CB&Q. After a stint in the Air Force and college graduation, Steve turned his career toward a second interest, aviation, and ultimately, 19 years with United Airlines. He said, “I guess I decided to switch to working for an airline and playing with trains.”

“Railroading never leaves the blood,” as he described his growing interest in the Clinchfield….which lucky for us, eventually led to this excellent book.
